Eerie screams, a murder, and a discovery of a skeleton have left villages in Kampung, Malaysia living in terror. On the 6th of October a woman was discovered murdered in her house and the body was left in a bag under the sink (her son is the chief suspect). Then a skeleton was found in a well. Since then the villagers have been suffering from the ‘heebie jeebies’. Rokiah Sarumin said: ‘Initially my neighbour asked me whether I heard screams at night but I just dismissed it as a joke. However, I then heard the screams. Salmah Hanim said the eerie noise came from the well. My house is near the well where the skeletal remains were found I was terrified and told my husband but he dismissed it.’ (The Star: 26th October 2009).
