September spots
The early days of September seemed to have been a busy time for UK UFO spotters. On the 5th Robert O’Malley saw lights that were “lit up like a Christmas tree” over the skies of Maltby in North Yorkshire. On the 6th a “tungsten-coloured diamond shaped object” was spotted heading towards Cambridge, the witness Simon reports: “The object was approx 400-500 feet up as it crossed both sides of the dual carriageway at speed (but slow enough to show off). Stopped over Huntingdon/Alconbury and moved vertically before hovering. Looking out the rear window of the car I saw a second, identical light, low in the distance moving from the east (possibly on an intercept course to the first object) before the tree line obscured my view of both objects.” On the same evening five or six orange lights were spotted by a motorist near Pensby, Wirral. He said: “They were in a perfect diagonal formation, no sound but flashing now and again.’ Also on the 6th a witness in East Kilbride saw “three unidentified objects that did not harbour the characteristics of any commercial, military or privately owned aircraft that I have encountered. Neither utilised navigational lighting or produced any sound.” (Source: http://www.uk-ufo.co.uk & Breaking News 24/7 August & September 2009).
