Why would i try and fake these pics, i have neither the time or the knowhow to do it anyway. No money has changed hands either so its not a money making exercise.I just wanted an answer. camera fault, weather conditions etc would suit me fine as i,m as sceptical as the next person, but the cameras fine and they are exactly as they were taken. If you want to spend the night in my cemetery garden feel free.

I too have this happen to me. It has gotten to the point where my wife says stuff like "I printed a picture of you today, but it has that weird wisp around your head again."
I believe Sara is also experiencing this same phenomena!

The camera is a samsung digimax A503. these were the only affected pics in 20 taken on the same night. The ones of us both are unaffected. Our church renovation requires pictures to be taken at each stage and recorded to archive. The same camera is being used for this and all pictures since taken are normal. The pics you see are exactly as they were taken and remain on the memory card for any inspection.

The photos all seem to be taken in roughly the same spot so light can have strange effects. What sort of camera was it and how much processing did the photos have?

Looking at the pics it seems the mist is in exactly the centre of the camera shot on all of them.. Could have been a spec of dust on the lens or could have just been down to the temperature.. Had the blur been in different areas of the shot I would have said maybe a bit odd but with them all being in exactly the same place to me this suggests it's a camera fault of some kind and nothing else

These are always difficult cases. I think there are a few reasonable explanations that needs to be verified. I did get such results with old film rolls, when there were flaws in certain batches, it would get the same effect of browns and reds, even fiery flame effects. But if it's a digital camera, you can rule that out. I would have checked the camera very meticulously for any flaws, raindrops, smudges, dust, dirt, snow, or even make-up on the lens. But can the reproduce it again with the same or another camera? that would be great of course.
