This is the second major expansion to the now legendary World of Warcraft MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game). New recruits will need to own World of Warcraft and the first expansion, The Burning Crusade, now available together as the WoW Battlechest.

World of Warcraft WOTLK gives the series a new lease of life that makes its online rivals Warhammer and Lord of the Rings look clumsy. The expansion is feature-rich with a whole new continent to explore, races to interact with and legions of the Lich King to destroy as you level up to the new cap of 80.

New talents, skills and the introduction of the first Hero Class ‘The Death Knight’ will certainly provide players with plenty to occupy
their online time. Existing players should create a Death Knight if only to play the starting area which provides you with insight not only into the mind of the Lich King Arthas and his plans for Azeroth, but also Warcraft Lore as a whole.

Overall, Blizzard has done a stupendous job and kept up their end of the bargain for subscribers. The advice is simple… old and new players alike should get this. However, ensure you leave any relationships behind, as you’ll be too busy to do both!
