Last summer several big buzzards appeared where I walk my dogs. One was a honey Buzzard a rarity to our shores. I have a Yorkshire Terrier and I was stunned to see a Buzzard swoop with in five feet of my dog feet fully stretched to take him- it was only my intervention that stopped this.Normally Buzzards are territorial and will attack anything within there nest site area. Or it could be the bird was an escappee and going to the human as a recognised source for food. Either way a scary experience and incredibly rare.
