In the limelight

Monday, March 9th, 2009

On a recent visit to his home town of Hull, contributor Mark Fraser and his wife Annie popped into the Limelight public house, which is in the old part of the town, along Alfred Gelder Street. While there they heard the staff talking about some odd goings-on which had made some of them nervous about working there alone. Unknown figures have been seen in the pub after closing hours, pumps are turned on and off, disembodied voices have been heard, and a CCTV camera recorded what appears to be a balloon emerging out of a wall and floating across to the landlord’s hands. Most frightening of all is the spectre of a hanged man seen by several witnesses in the cellars.
