In my book, Vertigo is just about as perfect a piece of cinema as it’s possible to get. Everything about it is so meticulously crafted and it takes the viewer on a journey like no other. Ever since it was made, others have been trying to capture the sense of paranoia, psychological intrigue and tension in the film, but have generally failed because they don’t fully understand the house of cards that Vertigo is.
Private investigator Scottie Ferguson is hired to follow his friend’s wife Madeleine. Her strange activities lead him to believe Madeleine might be
going mad or is even possessed, however Scottie can’t help being drawn to her, which leads to a dangerous obsession when events get out of hand.
